About the Event

Myka Perrelli of MykaYoga is an EMYoga® certified teacher and a 200hr RYT. She has studied with her EMYoga teacher, Alyson Abercromie since 2018 and completed her initial EMYoga certification with Alyson in 2021.  Myka is also currently in the EMYoga Advanced Training Program working with the founder of EMYoga, Lauren Walker and many other EMYoga master teachers and trainers.

Myka found her way to her mat initially as a way to support other exercise routines in her life and soon found herself making her way to her mat more and more. As she noticed the benefits her yoga practice had on improving her quality of life, she felt called to share yoga with others. Myka completed her 200hr training in 2020, taught her first class the week the world shut down and has loved every second of teaching since. She hopes that when you join her for yoga that you feel as welcomed and supported as she did the first time she stepped on her mat.

Myka is an international adoptee and grew up in Central CT. She attended Hartwick College, NY and St. Joseph College, CT and holds a B.A. Psychology with a minor concentration in Women’s Studies. When she’s not teaching or taking a class you can find her with a good book, eating food her partner Chef Jono has whipped up or snuggling with their 2 pups Binger and Pascal.

Energy Medicine Yoga is an integrative practice, uniting ancient healing methods with modern science. Classic yoga postures are woven and paired with Energy Medicine techniques to communicate with the body in its own language and innate wisdom. By focusing on your body as a living system of energy, you are empowered to self-heal, thrive and flow in the life you are meant to live.

We will use techniques such as tapping, tracing and neurovascular holds of the hands on the body. As we work with multiple energy systems in this gentle practice we hope to help you find support and balance on and off the mat.

Bring water and a yoga mat along with an open mind!
